Queer Bar in the Gay Village Manchester is owned by the once former 'Take That' Supremo
Nigel Martin Smith, and currently occupies the former 'Slug and Lettuce' site at the far end of Manchester's Gay district. The design by Jamm Architects, is refreshing and has embraced technology fully, with many free internet stations and a myriad of Plasma screens dotted around, conveying moving art rather than traditional static pieces.
The large bar area created and furnished by Concept Refrigeration Ltd, as a fantastic centre peice to the venue, and divides the venue in two, creating a more intimate atmosphere on both sides. GF Holding Ltd are responsible for the building work as the Main Contractors, and have done a fabulous job.
Prominently and importantly for the clientele which the bar is aimed at, the impresive sound system has been provided by Adlib Audio of Liverpool, using abstract AVR for their inimitable colour changing and range of disco lighting. The speakers in the bar area are provided by Bose Ltd, whereas in the dancing area, Adlib's own units have been utilised give provide the powe necessary.
Overall, the venue is extremely impressive, and an exciting new addition for Manchesters Gay hub
