NEW FEATURES

Have you ever heard of a new hotel or nightclub, one which everybody is talking about and has opened on the other side of the country, which you needed to visit but can't because you don't have the time? Has a friend or colleague raved about a bar design or the operational layout of a restaurant which you must see, but can't because its much too far away? Have you ever wondered who designed the incredibly exotic furniture in Tiger Tiger or the Bar Top in Baroosh, but can't find it because everybody you know can't remember?

Our New Features' and 'Who did What' sections are the answer to your prayers.

Every Month, we will feature two new leisure openings for you to take a virtual tour around, listing the designers, contractors and suppliers who have worked on the development and giving you the opportunity to contact them from our interactive directory. Its the most proactive networking and referral tool available in the leisure industry today.

QUEER BAR, MANCHESTER _

Queer Bar in the Gay Village Manchester is owned by the once former 'Take That' Supremo Nigel Martin Smith, and currently occupies the former 'Slug and Lettuce' site at the far end of Manchester's Gay district. The design by Jamm Architects, is refreshing and has embraced technology fully, with many free internet stations and a myriad of Plasma screens dotted around, conveying moving art rather than traditional static pieces. The Bar is really set to inject a much needed impetus and fresh outlook on Canal street. Click here to find out more.

The Singleton Barn - Designed by Heron Design

THE SINGLETON BARN, ASHFORD_

Heron Designs refurbishment of the old Tithe Barn in Ashford is a remarkable feat, not least because it has a feeling when you walk in like you've come home. The large fireplace and and comfortable furniture are only part of it, the towering beams which extrude from the ceiling and the mezzanine level with the newly created staircase, are all aspects of this venue which you welcome you in so much that the landlord I'm sure will have a daily job of asking people to re-attach their shoes! Mercy Norwich - Designed by Art Environments

MERCY, NORWICH_

Mercy is an incredible development and houses some amazing design characteristics, which will enable it to successfully encroach on 'big UK nightclub' status. Designed by the inimitable Dave Shread at Art Environments, the venue is prominient in its position on Prince of Wales Street in Norwich. The Grand Entrance hall, enhanced by the largest Mirror ever produced, leads into either of the two levels of the club. The bars are extravigantly lit, and the club has an overall feel of high quality about it, which is a testemant to its creators. Click her to find out more.
